London opened her mouth in mock schock. "I'm not a show off. I just like to entertain people with how awesome I am. But you would know what it feels like to show off." She almost frowned. She was serious on the last part. He was so amazingly handsome that he was practically showing off to every girl in the room without meaning to. She had dealt with all the girls last year that had always been talking about how goregous he was..and now she felt like one of them. She was completely cushed by him and could drone on about him for days.
London looked up at him whe he protested. She was suprised by how determined he was to let her go without paying for the engraving of the bat. She chewed on the inside of her cheek. He really wanted to do this for her and wouldn't let her say a thing about it. Maybe this was something she should take note of. She had known people who had offered to do stuff for her before but she knew all of them really well. "Well..." she contemplated. Would she want to see him tomorrow? She would be eager to, yes, but she would seem a little obsessed. She wouldn't mind that but she didn't want to do anything wrong in front of him. He made her feel so self conscious."September first sounds..Amazing."
"I need a new girlfriend..." No. He didn't say that. London shook her head and looked down. She really wanted to pay him back in any way possible. She pondered for a bit. He could ask for anything and he was saying no. It sounded stupid but she was hoping he would say something assoiciated with a her and a date. London wanted to bait him into changing his mind. "Are you sure? Anything you want, I'll give.." Now she thought she was sounding desperate but she didn't care.
London couldn't help but let out a small moan when the kiss got deeper. She was flying high in cloud nine. She didn't care where they were, what they were just talking about, or what would happen after it ended. She was dazed. One kiss and she was already addicted to him. She didn't want to stop, to tell him that she had to go. She didn't even want to breath. If he wasn't holding her up he would have collapsed.
London felt Mac shift and leaned forward to try to selfishly keep kissing him, but she knew he was going to break away. She was greedy and automatically groaned "No..." She opened her eyes and could feel her face burn. She smirked as he shot an accusation at her. "I had to..You're so..mmmm..Amazingly irresistable." She took a few breaths before his lips crashed on hers again. She pulled herself as close to him as she could and felt ecstatic when she was comfortably crushed against him.
London heard someone clear their throat and she pushed Mac away. Her blushwas horrible now as she spotted his boss. She instantly bent down to pick up the bat that she had dropped and hid her face behind a veil of hair. She could have slapped herself. It was really irresponsible to just kiss him like that. Not that it wasn't the happiest she had been in a while, but it was still very wrong. She hardly knew him and she knew that his boss could walk in any second. She cursed Mac for being so irresistable.

At London's words Mac looked down upon her, a quizzical look inhabited his eyes. "What?" He asked with a half-chuckle. He stopped in his tracks and tried to think back to all the times he had been graced with her presence? Had he shown off in front of her? Normally, Mac wouldn't have cared. But he cared about what she thought of him. "Do I come off arrogant?" He questioned, wanting to know what she thought of him.
When she agreed to September 1st, he smiled, cheering silently. He'd get something amazing for her. He didn't have a clue as to what it was yet. But it would be awesome. That he was sure of. Maybe he'd ask Shay. He wondered if she knew London. Then again, Shay was a girl. She could tell him the sort of things girls liked. But Shay was too girly. He knew London wasn't like those girls. She was unique. She was amazing.
He shook his head firmly at London's pleadings. "No, please understand that I don't need anything from you London." His jaw locked, as he fought a battle within himself. Her begging was going to have him break. He didn't want to scare her off. Right now all he wanted was her friendship. He couldn't move things to fast. He would frighten her off and the last thing he wanted was her far away in someone else's arms.
Mac smiled at the sound of her moan. Her protest when he broke away brought a smile to his face. He pressed his forehead against her own, not letting her out of his clutches. "You don't know the half of it." He informed her in the same tone. His lips brushed her forehead and grazed her cheek for a moment. "You're utterly irresistible." He moved his mouth with her own, enjoying the feel and bliss that was overcoming him right now.
His closed eyes opened abruptly when he heard a voice behind him and the tap on his shoulder. He felt himself being pushed away and turned around slowly to face a frowning Mr. Jensen. "Uhm...Mr. Jensen, sir?" He questioned, feeling completely shamed, but couldn't contain his grin. He tried to hide it, but he couldn't deny what an amusing situation this was.
"Mac..." The tone he was using was threateningly. "There's no one at the counter." He told the boy sternly.
Mac pressed his lips together, containing his grin for a bit. "No sir." He told him breathlessly.
"Then get to it." Mr. Jensen told him sharply. "I told you boy, you can't have time to entertain your friends when you're working."
Mac nodded and bowed his head, now feeling ashamed. Would his father hear about this? As if reading his thoughts, the old man added. "This is your first slip up, so you're getting a warning, but I mean it boy. One more and you're fired." He hesitated and added, "Wouldn't want your father to hear that, right? J-Just help the lady out with her things, and get to inventory in the back. I'll take over at the counter."
Mac nodded, but said nothing. Mr. Jensen returned to his office, giving the two a bit of alone time before he decided to emerge again. Mac turned to London and bent down to help her off the ground. "Sorry about that," He told her softly, with a soft smile.

London almost laughed. Mac was so cute when he was confused. She looked around the room at all the equipment stocked but was brought back when she heard him speak. "What? No! I mean, heh. you're fanclub is almost as big as Black's. You show off without meaning to. And let me tell you......You're hell of a lot handsomer than Sirius Black." She almost covered her mouth. Why would she say that, even if it was true.
London gave up. "Okay, okay..But I will tackle you downat the first opportunity I get. Heh, even if it's a candy bar." she joked, now smiling. He seemed to be standing his ground pretty well, but she would find a way to get to pay him back.
London was suprised to say the least. She was irresistable to him? Of course her blush had to deepen as he said that. London let out a content sigh at the feel of his lips on her skin. She shivered. Mac was too good at this game, but she couldn't help but want to play it. The game between what they wanted versues what the needed to do. Right then the 'what they needed to do' team was losing by a landslide.
London hadn't actually knelt down to pick up the bat. She had basically collapsed because of Mac and tried to cover it up. Thankfully, she had dropped her future bat and had a perfect aecuse to basically fall over. She listened to their conversation and started coming back into reality. She had just snogged Mac when they hadn't hardly gotten to know each other. They had never really talked except for during quiddith practice or victory parties for Gryffindor. But other than that, nothing.
London wanted to cry at what she was about to do. Careful not to look Mac in the eyes she managed to say "I'm sorry, too." she said it in a tone that meant she wasn't sorry the boss walked in. It was a tone that meant she was sorry she had kissed him in the first place. She, of course, wasn't sorry and was basically jumping for joy that he liked her, but she couldn't do this. She couldn't put him in any danger. She knew what the Death Eaters would do if they found out about him. "This was a mistake." she was suprised at how well she kept her voice from shaking.

[[My Mac muse is low right now, so I apologize right now for however suckish this post my come.]]
Although he was still slightly bewildered by her comment, Mac managed to smile for London, taking the term 'show off' as a compliment in this case. Yes it was true, he knew a small fan club was gathering, but he did his best to ignore it. He thought it was silly. He was good-looking, he'd admit that, but enough for a fan club? No! Mac heard London's statement on the size of it and couldn't help but laugh. The laughter, however, came to an abrupt halt at her last statement. He turned his head towards her and asked "You really think so?"
Mac chuckled and nodded. He'd agree to a candy bar. It wouldn't be more than a few sickles anyway. " A candy bad sounds good." An idea occured to him and a rather sly grin wormed its way onto his facial features. "And I know the perfect place. Honeydukes, first outing we get. You in?" For a date?
Her tone of voice startled him. He looked up quickly and saw her looking everywhere else but at him. What was she saying? That had been the best he'd felt in - ever. Sure, they didn't know each other well, but they could! If she was worried that he was only attracted to her in a physical way, well he'd let her know it wasn't that at all. He liked her. This feeling was strong - stronger than anything he'd felt before. He was confident that with time, and once they got to know each other better, he could even love her.
"W-what?" He questioned - finally finding his voice. "London this was no mistake. This was...an enlightenment." He put his finger underneath her chin and guided it so that their eyes met. "London. I like you. I know it seems - surreal - especially since we hardly know each other, but it's true. Don't do this Lon. Don't."
He was willing to do anything for her. If she refused him right now, he'd fight for her - tooth and nail. She liked him back, he knew it. Just knew it. They couldn't turn their backs on this. He would not take no for an answer. Not when it came to London Kale. He knew there would be many sleepless nights without her. But he would win her heart. He'd prove himself worthy. He would.

London laughed as he thought it over. “Yeah, I really think so! Hell, I don’t like fan girls, but in a second I would join your fan club!” She smiled a crooked smile that only Lisette and Matt had seen. She only smiled that way if she was absolutely and perfectly happy. If she had known she had been smiling like that she would have been shocked, but she was so used to it that it didn’t phase her any.
London almost choked as that grin crossed his face. She had nearly had a heart attack he was so charming. Wait! Did he mean like a date? A few moments later she finally found her voice again “Uhm…Yeah! Sure! Great!” Crap. Now she was stuttering like an idiot. Well, now she knew where she was spending her first Hogsmeade trip. She would have to get Lisette to help her pick out something cute so she could at least dress a little like a normal girl.
London winced at his words. He was making this far too difficult for her. Although the words he spoke were true for her she couldn’t do this. She had decided to stick with him but now this was a regret. It was hard enough still putting Lisette and Matt in danger, but she knew there was no way to convince them. But with Mac, maybe there was a way. She felt her head tilt up and saw his eyes. They were exactly like hers: Full of determination. “Mac,” why did he have to be this wonderful? “You know how dangerous it is to be with me? I have a father who wants to make me suffer any way he can. It’s a stretch having Lisette and Matt around.”
“I know we barely know each other but if we let this get any farther I would never forgive myself for doing this to you. You’re so wonderful and I can’t put you in this kind of danger…” Plus, how was she going to tell him that she was a Death Eater herself? Along with her father’s wishes. She could be ordered to hurt him or anyone else at any second with other’s lives at stake. This was going to be the hardest year of her life. “I don’t want you to give up what you good you have in your life for me.” This was the hardest to admint. Usually her pride would get in the way and she would think she could beat her father, but not this time. This was the truth, and he had to know it.

Mac laughed at her comment, though really he was begining to swell up with the comment. She thought he was handsome? He put his arm around London in an embrace. "Thanks for that London, I'd appreciate it. But you don't have to go out of your comfort zone. Wouldn't want to hang out with riff-raff like them, right?" He gave her a wink and laughed. His eyes couldn't help but notice how her eyes sparkled when she smiled. She almost seemed to glow. Seriously, how on earth had he not noticed her before? How blind he had been! "But you can be a secret member," He whispered jokingly to her. "Just a secret between you and I."
Mac awaited her answer and after a pause, she agreed. His heart swelled at the information. She wouldn't be disappointed. He would make sure of that. A date - If she wanted to call it that. If made no real difference to him as long as it was time with her. Just the two of them. =]
Mac blinked, momentarily confused. What was she talking about, dangerous? Her father didn't allow her to date? He frowned as she took a look at her. She had to be joking if that was the case. Her father was not at Hogwarts. What he didn't know wouldn't hurt him, right? His eyes wandered from her eyes to the bruise at her chin. Oh, that. Bull! He didn't care. If anything this was more of reason to be by her side. To protect her. To be there for her when needed. Mac was needed, he knew that already, and he wasn't going to give up.
He leaned in for another kiss, if you could call it that. His lips grazed her forehead. Best not to agitate her. This was too much for her, and he didn't want her stressing out or anything. "London," He whispered softly, "Read my lips: I don't give a damn. I'm a Gryffindor too, remember? I'm not afraid of your father. I'm ready for anything London. I'm going to be here for you. You're not going through this alone." He ran a gentle finger across her cheek before pushing her hair out of her face. "London. My life is no good if you're not in it. You're worried about hurting me. But I'm worried about missing out. No regrets Kale."
He didn't want to leave this as is. What if he graduated, lived his life and never met anyone else like her? He didn't want to go on living with what-could-have-been's. He wanted to know. He didn't want to wonder. If it didn't work out between them -fine. He'd accept that. But what if it could work? How depressing would it be if they could have been something great, but never even gave it a chance?

London bit her lip with a flirty smile when Mac’s arm draped around her. “Well, knowing myself I would probably kill all the girls and be the fan club.” She did actually want to kill all the girls who liked him. Anything that could distract him from her was unacceptable. “A secret member, huh? Do we get any extra privileges? I should probably stop before your head grows anymore. You don’t want to fall over from the weight distribution.” She laughed, she actually didn’t mind blowing his head up because that made him even fonder of her.
London almost pushed away as Mac leaned in again but as his lips came to her forehead she relaxed a little. Her stomach lurched as he started talking again. “You may not be afraid of my father…” she had to pause. This was so hard for her to admit. She had always acted like she was over what her father did and that she could handle him, but she couldn’t. “But I am. And I’m worried about taking a chance and having you waste your life because my father sees you as a target.”
London looked down. She had to admit so many things that her pride would not let her say but she had to. She had a feeling that he was worth it, that no matter what he deserved to know. “I barely know you and you’re already all I think about. Heh, I just saw you, what? Less than ten minutes ago and I already have every thought of your safety, and millions of other things about you, rushing through my head.”
London looked around for the gloves she randomly lost in the events that just happened. She found them five feet away, which was strange. She didn’t go after them but looked at them for a few moments. “You should..uh..probably get me checked out and all…” London didn’t want to push away from him but hoped he would take the hint, even if she didn’t want it to happen.

Mac laughed once more, louder than he had meant it to be. He really couldn't see her killing anyone, but he guessed that she was strong enough to do so. Plus she had a fiery spirit. She was feisty. "But then you'd go to Azkaban for murder, and we wouldn't want that." He told her. "You'd be away and leave me the task of Beating alone." He winked at her and was silent for a moment as he thought about any special privileges. "Hmm..." He stroked his chin. "Well, you'd get all the normal stuff. Pins, special quills and a pack of gum for the membership, but I suppose we can arrange something else for you. Would you like a shirt or an 'I Love Mac' necklace?" He laughed then, and couldn't stop for a while. He nodded at her following words, but managed to chuckle out "Too late, London. And you're to blame."
He sighed at her words. "Augh. London, there's nothing to worry about. It's my life. If I get hurt in any way, shape or form then so be it. It's my fault. Look I know what I'm getting into right now, but I wouldn't miss it. I'm jumping in this head first and I'll take full responsibility for the consequences."
He sighed, thinking of other ways to explain what he felt. He heard her speaking, but couldn't register everything she had said. He was too busy thinking up of ways. "London, please." Begging. Pleading. The mighty McCullum had been reduced to this, and it was because of her. He knew people did crazy things when they were in love. He stopped. In love?
He looked back at London with wide eyes. Before he could even think of a sentence though, she pushed him away. His shoulders slumped. He heard the clearing of a throat behind him and saw Mr. Jensen at the doorway. He gave Mac a pointed look and walked back into the back room. Mac sighed, and helped her gather the bat and her gloves. "C'mon then." He told her gently. Resigned. For now.
He walked back to the counter and quickly rang everything up, not daring to take a look at London. He'd show her. He'd prove to her that he was the one for her. He looked down at the total. 6 galleons, 17 sickles and 18 knuts. "Uhm...your total will be..." He paused, "Your total's 6 galleons. And I'll keep the bat for the inscription."

London nodded when he listed of things she would get, taking this as if it was a serious matter. She thought about all those thing and and laughed. "Ha. Your should put out a new member complimentary snog." which had already been done for her. "No shirts, but I think would like an 'I Love Mac' necklace." she laughed with him. "Ugh, yeah. But still, I don't think I did too much damage."
London was frustrated now. She was trying to come up with a way to get this through his head, but, unfortunately she was only able to come up with a pathetic "But...er...but..." She was silenced begged. He was begging her to understand him, but this was all wrong. London had never been persuaded except for with Matt.
London was about to be on the edge of agreeing with him but she pushed him away. She looked at the sound of a clearing throat from Mac's boss and knew it was time to go. London was silent the way back to the counter. How could she do this to him. If anything happened to him it would be on her conscious forever. But if she pushed him away he would take it as a sign that she didn't like him and he would never try again.
London grabbed the bag her money was in and took out six galleons. "OK." She was starting to sweat a little. This was now of never. The decision she made then could affect the whole school year. Stay with him or protect him. London made her decision as she leaned over the counter. "If I join the fan club....Are the 'I love Mac' necklaces a guarantee?"

Mac made a face at her suggestion. "You kidding me? Do you realize how many girls would that be? No thank you. I have my eyes set on only one." He smiled warmly at her. Yes, that was all he wanted. Her and her alone. "Ok, I shall make a note of that," he told her, and grabbed a notepad and quill from under the counter. " 'I Love Mac necklace for London,' " He wrote and said as he wrote it out. He looked up at her and shook his head. "Oh no, that's a lot of damage done London. Permanent perhaps." Mac walked back to the counter in silence, thinking up of ways to win her heart. He had to prove it to her. He would. He didn't care about his father or her father. He didn't care that she was the daughter of a possible Death Eater. All that mattered to him was her and her happiness. She would be happy with him if she gave him a chance. If didn't work out in the end....He sighed. If it didn't work out, well then, he'd let her go. As much as it hurt him, he'd let her go. But she had to at least try. He nodded and took the coins from her when she sweaty palm. He opened the counter and placed them in the appropriate slot before shutting the cashier. He looked up to ask if she wanted the receipt, but noticed she leaned over the counter. He blinked at her question. What? Hadn't she just said-? But he had thought that-? Why the bloody hell was he questioning? He smiled back warmly at her and nodded. "Only one condition." He told her, before hesitating. "If you give us a chance." [[Thank you!!! God I feel so stupid! xD]]

London laughed. That would be a lot of girls. She smiled as he told her that he was only after one. “Yeah, and that girl already got her complimentary snog…” She almost laughed again. “Oh, hey. I also need my initials in the necklace in case I lose it, or someone steals it.” She pointed on the paper. “Oh well...I sure you don’t really mind me doing permanent damage to you...”
London looked around and those stupid girls started giggling again once they noticed Mac was back. Bloody girls didn’t give her a scare, but it did annoy her. She looked back to Mac and almost laughed when he blinked in disbelief. When he named his terms London smiled flirtatiously. “Ok…You get your chance. I just want the necklace.” She jested. She hesitated, taking the receipt, and started to wonder if she should go for him again. She shook her head and walked away.
When London reached the door she paused and sighed. She couldn’t go without doing what she wanted. And God knows when she was going to see him again. Her hands on the handle of the door released it and she walked back to Mac, grabbed his shirt and crashed her lips against his. One of her hands moved to his cheek as she instantly deepened the kiss. Then, without warning, she broke away. “See you later, Mac.” She felt wonderful saying his name.
London had to smirk. There was more than one reason she had just snogged the hell out of Mac. She was silently claiming her territory. She knew those giggly girls would go around and tell everyone the latest news. Word of their meeting would go around like a forest fire.
With one more peck she started heading towards the door once more, but was so dazzled by Mac that she couldn't walk. Her knees collapsed causing her to have to grab onto the counter until her head was cleared. She recovered a moment later, smiled at Mac, and went out the door.

Mac had to laugh. He couldn't help it. "What girl?" Mac questioned. She'd have to be more specific. He chuckled though, "Oh, you know me too well." He told her with a wink. There was a pause, and he quickly added, "Joking, of course." He nodded at the details that would be needed on the necklace. "Shall I write it all down?" He questioned cheekily.
He heard commotion by the window, and turned his head to look that way. He saw the giggling girls and turned back to London. None of them - no matter how pretty, caught his eye. He could only focus on London. She was everything to him. At her comment, he frowned. "Ohh...all for the damn necklace right? Who cares if you get Mac McCullum as a boyfriend as long as the necklace is in your clutches?" He shook his head and did a few clicking noises with his tounge.
He chuckled to himself and grabbed the bat, placing inside the counter as she turned and walked away. He was smiling to himself. Today had turned out very good. Nothing could ruin it. Nothing at all. Just then he felt himself spun around and before he knew it, familiar lips were pressed against his own. His eyes made brief contact with her one before he shut them and fell into the bliss of the lip-lock between the two. His hand clutched the back of her neck just as she touched his cheek. The kiss deepened, and before he knew it, he was resurfacing. But he didn't want to.
He made to grab London back, but she was too far and now walking to the door once more. He heard the clearing of a throat. Mr. Jensen had returned. He scratched the back of his head sheepishly and waved to London. "See ya." He called back breathlessly.

London gasped playfully. “Oh, is that so Kellie?” She called him by his actually first name, which no guy would really appreciate if they were named Kellie. She bit her lip playfully “Of course I know you...I stalk you.” She laughed “Yes, please write this down. You get anything wrong with my necklace; I will injure you.” She joked.
London almost laughed but was able to hold it in. “You’re surprised at that?” she asked. “ha, you talk about yourself as if a lot of girls want to be with you..” she wasn’t able to hold it in anymore. She laughed. “I’m sorry. You’re very...umm….wanted. I promise!” She smiled and pushed his arm gently. She frowned as he shook his head and made noises with his tongue. “Hey. I don’t need that from you.”
As London got outside she leaned against the building. She took everything in and—It hit her like a bludger bashing her ribs. She just snogged with Mac McCullum. Twice. She gasped. Ok, so this was not how she had imagined that to go. She was just supposed to order a new bat, get some gloves, and leave. She thought back to the snogging and blushed as her heart sped up. She tried to regain her breath and closed her eyes. They snapped open again only seconds later. Lisette! She had to tell Lisette.
London started running down the alley looking for Lisette. She was so happy that after a few minutes of running she still wasn’t tired at all.

Mac blinked, and looked momentarily horrified. She didn't just call him by his first name. He looked over at her and her grin. Yes, yes she had. "Listen here, Missy," He told her, trying to hide the grin that was evidently taking over his features, "Nobody calls me Kellie. Not even my sisters are allowed to call me that, if they know what's good for them. It's Mac, sweetie, M-a-c: Mac."
He laughed at her 'stalking' comment and said "I knew it!" Before laughing once more at the rest of what she had said. "You're blowing up my ego Kale." He told her with a grin. "Pretty soon, I won't be likable anymore and I'll have you to thank for that."
He turned back with a grin once London had left the store. Mr. Jensen shook his head and ordered Mac to the back. Normally Mac would have had some witty or sarcastic remark, but right now he was too happy. Nothing could ruin it. Absolutely nothing.
