Dylan and Stetson were dumbstruck. No guy usually even made it this far without freaking out. They gave each other a look, and knew that either one had nothing to say...
London came down the stairs with such force that she thought she would break them. Halfway down she slowed down, just in case Mac was watching. She stopped on the bottom stair and looked around. She smiled at Lan. "Hey Dawkins." she greeted quickly, looking around again. No Mac though. She saw Jacob and her eyes widened. Her head snapped over to the food table and there were two people missing.
Suddenly she knew what was happening. She also knew where Mac was. Dylan and Stetson has gotten to him. Jacob opened his mouth to say something but London glared and walked past him. Those two were going to get it! The hallway seemed to elongate as she walked down it, but soon enough she saw the back of Mac's head and the two idiots she called her brothers. "What the hell do you two think you're doing?"
Dylan frowned at Stetson. Stetson knew why. There was a disturbance in the force. "Oh sh-"
"What the hell do you two think you're doing?"
Dylan stepped back, shielding himself with his arms, while Stetson hid behind him. "Ok. Calm down, Lon.."
London rolled her eyes "Don't you 'Lon' me!" She finally remember Mac was there. She looked at him for a second. "What did you two do to him?" She looked panicked for a second. She wouldn't put it by them to hex Mac or anything. She glared at her brothers for a moment before they got the message. They ran.
"I might just kill them..." she muttered to herself before turning to Mac. "I'm sorry about them. Whatever they said, it isn't true. I promise." She smiled slightly, embarrassed by her brothers.

Lisette rushed down the stairs in a mad flurry, able to spot London a few yards ahead. She skipped over a few and nearly collided with another human body. In order to avoid said collision, Lisette stopped in the nick of time, but since the Newton's law states that objects in motion, stay in motion, she felt her body go forward. She instead steered her body to the side and somehow managed to trip over her own feet and fall on her side. She blinked, feeling an ache in her shoulder from where she had hit the ground. Lisette was aware of snickering behind her and recognized it as Miguel. She thought about making some smart remark at him, but felt her head hurt just thinking.
She groaned as she sat up. It was then, however, that she recalled the person she'd almost knocked into. She turned her head and found a pair of chocolate brown eyes. She blinked, feeling a lightheaded sensation once more. She held her shoulder, but decided to greet the person. It wasn't one of London's brothers - that she was sure of - so she guessed it had to be McCullum's friend.
"Hello," She managed weakly, making an attempt to get herself up. It wasn't easy, she soon found, since her shoulder ached. "Sorry," she continued, "I almost knocked into you." She managed to get on her knees, and with her right hand was able to push herself off the ground. Once on her feet, she looked around but was lucky to find that Luz was no where near here. She had a hunch Luz would force her back in bed. She glanced at an amused Miguel in the corner and glared. "I'm Lisette, by the way," She informed the stranger. "Welcome to my house."

Mac looked up into the faces of the two older men. He didn't do much except for stand there while the disbelief showed on their faces. As smug as he was feeling though, he didn't show it. Mac had younger sisters as well, and once they started dating he knew he'd be grilling their boyfriends as well. Honestly, he didn't blame them if they had been getting a kick out of it earlier. He'd probably enjoy it too, if he were in their shoes.
He noticed a sudden change in their stance. They seemed upset. All of a sudden, he heard a familiar voice in a sharp tone. He looked past London's brothers to see her emerging figure running towards them. The way her brother's reacted amused Mac to no end. Clearly London was the sibling to fear. He wondered why that was, since her brothers seemed to be pretty tough guys. Then again, women could wrap you around their pinky finger and terrify you all at once. Mac shook his head at her question, about to answer when her brothers ran.
He shook his head, chuckling at the same time. He took a step towards her and slowly drew his arms around her. When her forehead pressed against him, he softly kissed the top of her head. "It's ok," He assured, "It was nothing. They're just trying to protect you. I'd do the same to my sisters. Do me a favor and don't go after them."
Slowly, he drew back from London, cupping her face in his broad hands. "I've missed you," He told her softly. "I was ecstatic when I received Lisette's owl. Just the thought of spending more time with you . . ." He trailed off, never tearing his brown eyes away from her own. He didn't know why he was being so honest. Mac wasn't one to wear his emotions on his sleeve, but the felt a strong urge to let London know how he felt. She was an important factor in his life now.

Post by James 'Prongs' Potter on Aug 26, 2008 23:35:48 GMT
With a crack James apparated in the shadows of an alley and immediately looked around to see if anyone had seen him. The coast was clear. He had gotten an owl from Lisette a week ago, inviting him to go to her BBQ and had replied straight away with a yes. The invite had said he could bring someone with him but he decided not to. James was pretty popular so he should know the majority of people there pretty well. It had been ages since he had seen Lisette- in fact, it had been a while since he had seen most of his fellow students- and he was glad for the chance to catch up before Hogwarts started once more.
He pulled out the invite from his pocket and scanned it, looking for the address she had provided. He knew the area pretty well, he remembered getting chased by some Muggle policemen round here a few years ago with Sirius, and they had circled the neighbourhood that many times trying to get away that he recognised most of it. It wasn’t too far a walk to her house but due to the fact that it was a rare sunny day in England, James was already beginning to feel a little warm and all too glad that he had picked his t shirt over his shirt. Back in Cornwall it had been fairly sunny and James had spent most of his time down at the beach, trying his best with the muggle girls and learning how to surf. This past week though it had rained non-stop so when Lisette had mentioned the BBQ he had been a little apprehensive. However, the rain had to stop somewhere right? And it seemed it had left Lisette’s house alone for the day.
James finally reached her house and knocked sharply on the door, waiting for someone to open it. As he waited he could hear people talking inside, he could even recognise some on the voices. He was glad, he didn’t know if the other Marauders were coming and he had had visions of not really knowing anyone and being stuck in a room full of 6th year Ravenclaws talking about the Goblin wars all day…
