London had just come from her house where she had just left her father and Anthony Dolohov on the sidewalk with a note telling them where she's be;not that they would follow her anyway. She entered Madam Malkins with a smile. Her father hitting her had not left a bruise and she was glad. Not to mention that she totally kicked their asses. That made her smile grow wider.
London went up to the counter and waited. Where the hell was Madam Malkin? She didn't care that much except that she wanted to get this over with. Skirts where the source of all evil to London. Still she had to wear them at school day after day. It was even worse because the skirts kept getting shorter each year, this was just the male mind at work and she was sure some one petitioned for the skirts to be shorter. She let a sigh out as Madam Malkin came out in a flush and said that she would be a moment.
London sighed again and turned around, leaning against the counter. London had previously sent in her measurements so she wouldn't have to go through it there. She turned her head slightly as the door opened.

Back in Diagon Alley, but Lisette didn't mind much. The day before had been exciting- to say the least. She had a blast though. It was great to have hung out with her friends and shop at the same time. However it seemed that everywhere had been full. Lisette couldn't get her robes then, so she made an appointment to go the next day. Her mother was more than happy to accompany her, so they left together.
Upon entering the store, Madam Malkin rushed to get Lisette ready. After getting new measurements done, and after looking at a few styles Madam Malking had, Lisette was ready to try on the standard black robes the dress code required.
Meanwhile, Andrea had a blast looking through all the styles for a few robes she might need, as well as for some for her daughter. The two girls were big on shopping, and had roughly the same style. She trusted Lisette to tell her what looked good on her, and she knew her daughter felt the same way about her. Besides, it was good to spend some quality mother-daughter time.
As Lisette went in to try on her standard robes though, Andrea knocked on the dressing room door and informed her that she'd only be a minute. She needed to fetch a few more galleons. She had a feeling they would buy more than what they had originally thought. Lisette told her she'd be alright and continued with the robes.
When Andrea returned, Lisette had finished with all her robes. She just needed to get new ties, skirts, sweaters and the like. However, Andrea noticed a new addition to the store. "Hey London," She called out, to the dark-haired girl. She knew London to be Lisette's best friend.
Lisette, who was then coming out of the dressing room with her new skirt, saw London and gave a squeal of delight. She ran towards her friend and tackled the girl into a hug. "London!" She cried out with a giggle. "It's been so long!"
Andrea laughed, and when Lisette finally let her friend go free, she embraced the girl and asked how she was doing. "You alright?" She questioned. "It's been a while since we've had you back home."

London turned back to the counter and looked at some brochures before she heard her name. She looked around and saw Andrea. She loved Andrea like no other. She was like a mother to London, who had never had a woman’s influence before meeting her. “Hey” she started making her way over.
Andrea laughed, and when Lisette finally let her friend go free, she embraced the girl and asked how she was doing. "You alright?" She questioned. "It's been a while since we've had you back home."
When Lisette let go London felt Andrea’s arms around her. She hugged back tightly. She loved Andrea. “Yeah,” London smiled “I’m fine. I got a new house this summer. But I wish I could have stayed with you. I was super busy though..” she was busy getting kidnapped by Death Eaters. “How has your summer been?” She asked while looking at Madam Malkin getting some things in order. Her uniform would probably be out in a bit.

Andrea smiled warmly back down at London. She liked her well-enough and had honestly missed the Gryffindor over summer. After all, she and Lisette were almost inseparable. They hung out all the time during the holidays. In way, it was like having another daughter. She felt a bond with the girl.
"A new house?" Andrea asked, surprised. "That's nice. Where do you live now?" She questioned. If it was any closer to their own Villa, maybe they could enjoy a get-together of some kind. Lisette could invite her friends. She'd just have to check Victor for the date.
"Ah, well I'm sure you've heard that we went to Spain." She told her with a smile, running her fingers through Lisette's hair. The girl shivered and giggled, moving away from her mother's grasp, whispering "That tickles mom!"
Andrea laughed, but Lisette took over then and twirled her skirt. "Like the skirt Lon?" She questioned playfully. "I'm sure you'll love them this year."
Andrea laughed again and shook her head. "Don't be such a tease, Liz," She scolded playfully. She shook her head once more and rolled her eyes at London. "Honestly, they get shorter every year." She told the Gryffindor. "They're making you girls into -" She stopped, pausing to remember that she was in a public place and couldn't say a few words. "Well, I just don't like it. Honestly, to have all those boys looking at you that way? And you know how boys can be."
Lisette rolled her eyes at her mother and leaned against the counter. "Mom, we're 16. We know how to take care of each other. Besides, with Matt nearby, d'you think anyone's gonna come near us?"

London nodded. “I live on Inshell. It’s too far away from you. Of course I would probably have to fly to get there.” London had never really thought about how far she lived from Lisette. She had just gotten the house and she was already bustled. But now that she knew she would have to go visit Lisette and Andrea more often.
London nodded “Lisette told me something about it. I wish I could have gone…” She really did wish that, with everything that was happening with her father and Dolohov she would have loved to not have any of that happen. London laughed at Lisette “I’m going to have to remember to ran a hand through her hair when we get to Hogwarts!” London smile was drove away as Lisette showed the skirt. A sigh escaped and she frowned. A groan escaped her throat “Are you serious?”
London agreed “They make us out to be some possessions. Something to look at. I might just wear pants and get detention all year…” She smiled at Andrea. She had two things to fear from these skirts. First, was being asked out on more dates. Second was Anthony Dolohov. She thought it was bad enough when she was in her pajamas.
London nodded. They could take care of themselves, but Matt wouldn’t always be around her. They were in two different houses by the way. “Matt won’t always be with me but I trust my housemates not to try anything funny.”

Andrea looked puzzled with London's reply about where she now lived, but Lisette rolled her eyes and stated "Ha ha ha London. Hilarious. C'mon, my Mum's old. She doesn't understand." She laughed while her mother glared at her daughter.
Lisette avoided her mother's eyes and quickly eyed London for a save. Just then, she mentioned Spain so Lisette felt the need to give her a full summary of her vacation. "We first arrived in Barcelona, of course. And since we arrived in the morning, we were able to have lunch at the restaurant where Mum and Victor me. Ah! It was amazing. I swear, I gained weight with all the meals we had to eat."
Andrea laughed and added "You didn't have to fill your plate for every meal. You know how it is there." But Lisette shrugged and continued. "We stayed there a week, and then we went to Valencia. We went to the National Park of La Albufera for a bit. Victor took us out to the island of Ibiza. Hence, my tan." She made a face as she held out her arm.
"I told you to wear sunblock, young lady." Andrea called out over her shoulder as she looked around for robes she could wear. When London replied, she nodded in agreement. She laughed at the mention of pants, and asked "Want to me to write the note? I could pass off as your mother so you wouldn't get in trouble." She meant it jokingly of course.
"Pfft. London can go a whole year with skirts." Lisetted said, walking over to a mirror and frowning. It was shorter. "I mean, we've only been doing so for the past five years." She smirked and turned just as Madam Malkin passed by. "Uhm, Mam?" Lisette questioned, but the lady walked right past her to grab more fabric. Lisette stuck out her tongue while the older woman's back was turned.
"Speaking of Matt, where is he?" Lisette questioned, now frowning. "We made an appointment here yesterday." She smirked and added to London, "And I'm sure Mac, will keep them away, right?"
"Matt?" Andrea questioned.
"Mac," Lisette corrected. "He's a 7th year and a Gryffindor. But London can tell you about him."

London almost laughed. “Your mom’s not old.” London of coursed had to say this. She loved Andrea as if she was her mother. And not wanting to insult the closest thing she had, it was time to defend her a little. “Maybe we’re just too young.
London listened to the vacation summary quietly. She wished that she had been there. Being cursed, punched, tortured, and forced to do something she would never do sounded like a nightmare compared to being in Spain, eating great food, and getting tan. London was skinnier than usual. The lack of food was unbearable. The truth was that her dad was stealing her money, but she couldn’t let them know she was low on food and money. Her brothers had helped a bit when they found out, but it wasn’t that long ago that they had learned of the problem.
London laughed. “I would love that, but I don’t think Dumbledore would fall for that.” She smiled. Andrea was the mom she never really had. She was the woman in her life that accepted that London was a tomboy. Every other influence had insisted on buying make-up and dresses. “No I can’t, Liz! I can’t go one more year with these things.” She laughed as Lisette tried to get Madam Malkin’s attention, but was ignored.
London shrugged when asked about Matt’s whereabouts. “I don’t know but-“ she cut off, her mouth hanging open. Did Lisette just tell her mom about Mac? London tried to answer several times before turning her back on them. “He’s just a guy…”

Andrea beamed at London for coming to her defense. She turned to her daughter and shook her head. Lisette knew what her mother was implying and stuck out her tongue at her. It wasn't that she was being rude and disrespectful on purpose, but she and her mother were close. They were each other's best friend, practically. Lisette was just pushing her buttons like Andrea pushed her own. They were closer than any other mothers and daughters they knew.
Andrea frowned but nodded. That was right. Nothing ever got past Dumbledore. He always knew what was going on. "Wish we could adopt you, Lon." Andrea told the girl. "You used to be over all the time anyway." She smirked and cupped a hand over her mouth, to mimick talking behind Lisette's back. "And just between you and I, I like you better than her."
"Ah!" The shocked cry was echoed around Lisette. "That's not fair Mum! I'd never say that about you!" Andrea laughed but reminded her about a time in Spain. "You said you liked Victor better."
"But that was because he bought me the scarf." Lisette shot back. Her eyes lit up as she recalled. "Oh! I got you a scarf too London! And loads of other things! AH! This gives you an excuse to go over to my house! Please? Pretty pretty please? We haven't hung out at my house in ages!" Lisette rolled her eyes at her friend's protest on the skirts, and stuck her tongue out when she was laughed at.
Andrea turned back to both girls, now that her curiosity was peaked. "'Just a guy'?" She questioned with a knowing smile. The times she'd seen her own daughter hung up over a guy like that in the begining. "And he's a 7th Year Gryffindor named Mac?" She questioned, trying to get the few facts she had straight. "How do you know him? How'd you meet?"

London frowned a bit. “I wish you could to, but my father would never go for that.” She missed being over every second she could. Even if it was for a few minutes she would still jump at the chance to go over. London smiled at Andrea’s next words. “It’s ok. I like you better than Lisette, too.”
London laughed as they had a bit of an argument. “You bought me something?” London was sure Lisette had forgotten about her in all of her fun, but it seemed it wasn’t so. She was foolish to even think that. A sigh escaped her lips as she nodded. “Of course I’ll got over to your house. Just tell me when and I’ll be there.” She looked around, wondering if Madam Malkin was ever going to get to her.
London turned back to them, a little red in the face. “Well, we met when we both tried out for beater and made it. We’ve been on the quidditch team together since then..And I know him because he’s in my house. There’s nothing more to it..That’s it. He’s juussst a guy!” She huffed.

Andrea nodded solemnly, and Lisette did too, an apparent frown on her face. She didn't like London's father at all. She was frightened of him too, but she wouldn't admit it to London. At London's next words, Lisette gasped and cried "Ah! London! You're my best friend! I gave you the best years of my life!" She couldn't help but grin as she said the words, even though she made an attempt to hide them.
Upon hearing the words, Andrea laughed. "You act as if you two have been married!"
Lisette glared at her mother and lifted her robes to show to a beaded bracelet. "Best friends forever, remember Lon?" She questioned.
Lisette laughed at the foolishness in the question. "Of course I bought you something! You don't expect me to go on a trip and not buy you anything, do you? What kind of friend would I be?" [[Speaking of buying things, I'm going to Disney and I'm getting you something better than a key chain!]] Lisette nodded and said "How about tomorrow?" She looked over hopefully at her mom, but Andrea smiled and nodded.
Andrea smiled knowingly at London. "Victor was just a guy too." She told her. "Then he turned into more than 'just a guy'." Lisette rolled her eyes, recalling those days. She hadn't been the best sport about it. "C'mon London." Lisette encouraged. "You tell my mom just as much as you tell me. Quit baiting her."

London laughed. “You may have given me the best years of your life but they sure weren’t the best years of mine…” She laughed and hugged Lisette as an apology. “We were married once, but decided it wasn’t the best choice.” She laughed. She looked over at Lisette with trusting eyes. “Friends until I die.” She smiled, knowing that wouldn’t be for a long time. ((OMG..*CRIES*))
London looked sheepish. She would loved to come over to Lisette’s house and spend time with her and Andrea. The only family besides her brothers she had ever known. “Tomorrow sounds awesome. I’ll be sure to drop by early so I can stay longer. It’s not like I have anywhere else to be anyway.” That was a lie. She knew her father would go and visit her the next day. After today he would be mad.
London huffed and gave up. “Mac is this guy I really like…and…” she paused, trying to give this piece of information up to Andrea “We snogged yesterday. Are you happy now, Liz? I divulged one of my greatest secrets.” She laughed, knowing Andrea wasn’t her actually mother, so probably wouldn’t make that big a deal. Or maybe she would, London didn’t know.

Matt glanced at his watch and groaned inwardly. He knew he was late to his meeting with Lisette, they were supposed to meet and try on robes for the new school year. From the three new pairs of pants he had had to buy that summer, he knew he really needed new robes. That was one problem about being a sixteen year old guy. However, the bad thing was that he had to buy the robes himself, so he had to be frugal in his spending that year. It really sucked to have parents that couldn't afford a lot of things other parents couldn't, but he tried not to let any of that bother him.
Entering Madam Malkin's, Matt spotted Lisette, as well as London and Lisette's mother. He made his way over to the trio and grinned apologetically. "Sorry I'm late. I was babysitting Angelle and my parents were later than they said they would be. Plus, I had to drop Ben off to buy his books." Matt excused himself, not adding that he had also spent about fifteen minutes outside his house flirting with the new girl in town. Phoebe Dupont was her name... and she was from Mississippi. This, plus the fact that she was pretty and funny, intrigued Matt and he had asked her on a date a week ago. Consequently, she accepted and Matt was debating on whether to tell the two girls about this development in his dating life.
"Anyway, what did I miss?" The tall Ravenclaw asked, fingering some cloth that was brushing his elbow. Suddenly, he realized he hadn't said a proper hello to Lisette's mother, and being the well-mannered boy that he was, he smiled charmingly and nodded respectfully to Andrea. "Hey, Mrs. Andrea." He greeted and then looked around to see if he could get the help of Madam Malkin.

Lisette gasped and glared at her friend. "How could you?" She asked her, feinting hurt. However, the girl accepted the hug London gave her and squeezed back tightly. "Forever, like I said." She stated with a laugh. [[OMG! You want the waterworks to start, don't you?]]
"Tomorrow it is then!" Lisette replied, glowing. Andrea held her hand up. "Why don't you give it to her at the BBQ?" Lisette's face drew a blank and then she brightened once she recalled it. "Yeah! London. Party at my house. Saturday morning at noon and you can bring your brothers. Dylan in particular." She giggled. Dylan was cute, but she pretended to like him to annoy London.
Andrea smiled knowingly when London admitted to liking the guy, but her eye brows shot up when she admitted to snogging him. She turned to Lisette to confirm it, but her daughter was currently staring at London. Andrea blinked and said, "Well...." She started.
"Pssh." Lisette huffed, "You'd have told her anyway. I don't know how she does it. She just gets you to spill your guts. And she does it without magic!"
"It's called guilt." Andrea informed her daughter, rolling her eyes. "Well, sounds...like you throughly like this boy. He's a nice boy, right?"
Lisette turned as the doorbell rang and spotted London. She grinned and ran for the boy, tackling him into a hug and giving him a good squeeze. "You're late Matty." She scolded playfully.
"You'll have to wait now." Madam Malkin informed him, making her way to London. "What can I help you with, Miss?"
Lisette rolled her eyes but turned back to Matt. "Oh!" She exclaimed, "Ben's here too? Why didn't you bring him?"
Andrea smiled as she turned around and was greeted by the boy. She noticed he was taller, but then again, she didn't see him as often as she saw London. "Hello Matthew." She told him. She didn't like being called Mrs. Andrea, but it was a joke between the too. She called him Matthew just to annoy him.
"Well you've missed loads Matty." Lisette told the boy. "I've got my robes and skirts." She smirked in London's direction. "And you just missed London's big news."

London was nodding for confirmation to meet the next day but Andrea mentioned the BBQ. “Ok then. At the BB-“She stopped when Lisette mentioned Dylan. A slightly annoyed look troubled her face. “Liz,” she warned “Why Dylan. Of all my brothers I thought you would like Stetson the most.”
London couldn’t actually believe that she had told Andrea. She laughed though “Guilt works. I have to remember that when I’m a mom.” As the conversation went back to Mac she looked a little uneasy. She hated talking about her personal life. It even annoyed her a little with Matt and Lisette. “Yeah, I do. And so far as I know he doesn’t have a bad bone in his body.”
London smiled at Matt in greeting and opened her mouth when to say something to him but she was met by Madam Malkin at last. “Oh. I sent in my measurements yesterday. London Kale’s the name.” She thought of something else. “Oh, and do you think you can make my skirt longer?” But Madam Malkin had already disappeared into the back.
London groaned as Lisette mentioned skirts. Her mouth dropped open as she mentioned her ‘big news’. "Liz! Matt doesn’t want to hear about that!” She was going to say more but Madam Malkin had come back with her uniform. She groaned again but took it and head to a dressing room.

Matt smiled sheepishly when Lisette told him he was late. "Yeah, I was a little distracted, but I got out of the house." He said, clearing his throat. He wasn't about to tell her what he was distracted by. He and Phoebe had only gone a couple of dates, and he didn't want to get Lisette and London all excited until he was sure something more concrete was going to go on between him and the girl. At Lisette's question, Matt shrugged. "Dunno. He desperately needed to go to the bookstore, and I had to meet you two. Just worked out that way." He stated, secretly glad Ben wasn't there. If he had been, he probably would have spilled about Phoebe.
Andrea's greeting mad Matt laugh. "All right, I get the idea. How are you, Andrea?" He asked with a charming smile. He liked Lisette's mom. The lady was easy to get along with and one of the few grown-ups that he could be cheeky with without fearing repercussions... just so long as he didn't get too cheeky. Hearing Madam Malkin tell him that he'd have to wait, Matt nodded. "No hurry. I just hang around here." He said dryly.
"Oh, sounds like I've missed loads." Matt exclaimed sarcastically. "I just don't know how I'll be able to keep up with the two of you now." He continued with the sarcastic tone. However, when Lisette mentioned big news about London, Matt did a quick half-circle turn and raised an eyebrow in London's direction. The Gryffindor's protest just made him grin cheekily. "Oh no, I want to hear this. It sounds interesting." He looked over at Lisette, waiting for the Spanish girl to spill.
