Lisette laughed lightly at Matt's reaction. She had known the boy would run for cover, but it was actually funnier than she had anticipated. She shrugged at London's comment at how evil she was. "Not too much." She informed her friend, "You don't see a Slytherin crest on me, do you?" Lisette could be cruel at times, but she didn't think 'evil' was a word to describe her at all. Then again, Matt and London knew her better than she knew herself.
"Aww Mattykins, that's not true." She told her male friend, stepping forward and resting her head on his shoulder. She now noticed that he had grown a few inches over summer. She, however, was still as short as ever. It was a miracle that she even reached his shoulder. "You wanna know why it's not true?" She questioned him. "Because you love me Matty, and you can't resist me." She grinned and spun out of his reach, almost dancing away. She made a face at Matt when he called London his 'true friend' but didn't have time to comment, because the group of girls quickly approached them.
She grinned at Matt's reaction and considered shoving him in front of the girls, but took a protective step forward instead. She turned with a quizzical look on her features to ask Matt about the mean remark, but London stepped in. She saw the wide smile on her friend's face and sighed. Well, at least it'll be fun. Lisette blinked when one of the girls called him cute. Well, that much was true, but did they know how annoying he could be? Lisette considered telling them when London set her plan into action.
She saw London's arm snake it's way around Matt's waist and caught the wink. Lisette sighed inwardly and muttered "Who's evil now?" before agreeing with London in the same annoyingly sweet tone. "Mhm...look at the younger one! She's so cute! What year do you think they're in Lon? First?" It was cruel, to have to beat these poor girls down, but keeping fan girls away from Matt was a tough job but it had to be done. Otherwise poor Matt would have a swollen ego and no doubt be strutting through the halls like Sirius Black.
"Hey Matty?" She headed back towards Matt and rested her head against his shoulder - to clearly tell the girls he was off-limits. "You remember how it was like back in First year? D'you think we should give these girls a few tips?"

Glaring at Lisette, Matt snorted. "I think the Sorting Hat made a mistake then." He quipped. This was far from the truth, but Matt had started on the tangent and he could just jump off halfway. However, when Lisette rested her head on his shoulder his best friend/brotherly instincts kicked in and he gave a sigh. "Dammit, Lisette." He muttered and gave the girl a quick one armed hug before she spun away. "You ruin all my fun." He complained, looking as despondent as he possibly could.
At London's comment about violence, Matt shrugged. "Not unless we have to. If they attack me first, don't be afraid to throw a few punches." He grinned mischievously and brushed some hair out of his eyes. Rolling his eyes slightly at London, he nodded. "Yes, mein Führer." He whispered jokingly, hoping London wouldn't be too offended by the comparison. He needed London on his side to get rid of the annoying little twerps. Why did it always have to be younger girls that were obsessed with him? Why couldn't it be some really pretty, really nice girl that he could date.
Putting on a completely serious face, Matt put his arm around London and then grinned at Lisette. "Either first or second years. Maybe a few tips would help them." He looked the girls straight in the eye and gave them a cheeky grin. "Madam Pince... loves it when people throw Fanged Frisbees in the library."
At this reception and the comments about them from the older girls, the young girls bristled and glared at the three. "We're fourth years, thank you very much!" The brash one stated, placing her hands on her hips. "And we're prettier than you two, anyway."

When she heard the comment about the sorting hat London gave Matt a stare that meant he had said enough. She knew it was all good hearted, but he didn't really need to say it. She smiled though when he hugged Lisette. She loved how they were together, all three of them. Always knowing what was what with each other, except for London's secret from both of them. She was glad Matt had not suspected anything yet, but he would soon enough see the bruise near her jaw.
London laughed. She doubted that these girls would attack Matt, and she doubted that she would have to use any violence at all. She could just step forward and make these girls flinch. At Matt's next comment she flicked his ear. "I'm trying to help you. Behave."
London almost laughed as one girl came forward and tried to defend all the others. They were prettier? London never really compared herself to others, but, in a way, they were prettier than her. "Yes, but you forget one major factor." She paused and put her other arm around Matt so that she was hugging him "I can kick your asses." She knew she shouldn't scare these girls but it was too much fun not to.

Lisette gasped and feinted a hurt look. "Matty," She began, raising her hand to her heart. "That really hurt. H-How could you?" She blinked a bit, hoping she could muster a few 'tears', but when she couldn't she just laughed it off. She was glad when Matt hugged her back, and looked at London with a bright grin. "Not all the fun." She shot back the boy. "Have you forgotten all those confiscated objects that have gone 'missing' from Filch's office and mysteriously landed in your trunk? Do you or don't you want those? I can stop whenever I please." Lisette was joking of course, nicking stuff from the caretaker was a favorite pass time of the three and it was usually Lisette's insight and connections that got them through. She smiled, though, the chemistry between the three was fabulous and it's what kept them together. Sure, they'd have a few fights every once in a while, but all friends had bumps in the roads. It was true friends that stuck together through thick and thin. Lisette didn't know what she would do without them.
The Spaniard openly giggled at Matt's comment about throwing punches. She turned her head and saw his grin. When Matt threw out his German though, she looked back at him with a glare that told him 'don't-you-start-on-that-now'. The last thing the group needed was another small dispute. They had to get rid of the annoying girls after all. She shook her head and sighed. It was always Matt who was being chased. Why couldn't they have made the decision to befriend someone uglier in First Year? Their world would be much calmer. But perhaps less fun, she was reminded. It was Matt's humor that kept her spirits up and they all enjoyed protecting him from the fan girls.
Lisette nearly fell into a peal of laughter, but was able to contain herself by pressing a few desperate fingers to her mouth. Her body, however, shook with laughter. Of course Matt would advise them to do that. He was speaking from experience after all. But it was his charm that kept Madam Pince from permanently banning the boy. "And chocolate," She added quickly, "She just adores chocolate. She'll give you more if you eat it in her presence."
Lisette eyed the sassiest of the bunch. "Prettier?" She scoffed, before turning to London. She was sure her friend would have something to say about this. After all, wasn't London the one who had once been pursued by four guys (that she knew of...who knew about the shyer guys) at once? Although Lisette didn't think herself drop-dead gorgeous, she had to admit that she was somewhat good-looking. She took after her mother, of course. Besides, she was Spanish and the Spaniards were lovely.
"Yea, you girls need to uhm...hit puberty before you can call yourself prettier than us." She looked pointedly at each. She heard London's remark and nodded sharply. "She can hurt you physically, but I'm the one you should be afraid of when it comes to duels." She lifted her wand from her pocket and held it with a steady hand. "Now, will you girls leave, or are you going to force us to take action?"
Honestly, Lisette had enough by then. Although this was fun, she was begining to get annoyed by the girls. She and London were clinging to Matt, couldn't they take a hint? Lisette wasn't allowed to do magic outside of school, she hoped the girls would forget that rule. Lisette was a sucker when it came to rules, and this would be one she didn't want to break. However, there was always London, who would be more than willing to throw a few swings.

At Lisette's mention of all the returned objects of his, Matt sported a sheepish grin and nodded. "Right, can't forget all of those. I don't know what I would do without you, Liz." He stated and flashed Lisette one of his most charming smiles. "And no, please. Feel free to continue." The tall boy was quick to add, trying hard not to imagine what life would be like without his joking gadgets. The Ravenclaw was thankful for London and Lisette. They were great friends, and were always there for him. It was certainly a nice feeling to have friends who cared.
Rubbing his hear, Matt smirked at London and nodded. "Thanks for helping, by the way. I say we just finish up here as soon as we can. They're getting on my nerves." He whispered to the girl, giving the group of fourth years an annoyed glance.
Quickly nodding at Lisette's added words of wisdom, Matt ruffled his hair and smirked. "Chocolate being eaten in front of her is always a win. Of course, there's also some little tidbits to know about other teachers. McGonagall adores smart-ass remarks." Knowing this was way from the truth, Matt figured they had taken it far enough and was glad when London took pseudo-aggressive action.
The Ravenclaw knew for a fact that his Gryffindor friend could beat the other girls easily, but he didn't feel like letting it come to that, when he could stop the whole thing easily. "Game's over, lassies. Look, you youngsters need to learn to stop stalking people. You're too young for me, though I appreciate the compliments to me. Oh, and never insult my friends... ever." His brown eyes glinted slightly as he said this. There was nothing more important to him than his friends, besides his family, and he didn't appreciate people insulting his two best friends.
When Lisette threatened her jinxing abilities, Matt's eyes widened slightly, since he knew how Lisette loved to abide by the rules. The girls' eyes also widened and they took a step back. The younger girls suddenly realized that they had turned three sixth years against them, and they quickly mumbled an apology to Matt and scurried off.
As they left, Matt let out a sigh of relief and turned to face Lisette and London. "Thanks. I'm sorry you two have to put up with that. You've no idea how annoying they...." Matt trailed off when he saw the bruise on London's jaw. The dark haired boy stood there for a few seconds, and then a dangerous look crossed his features. "London? What happened to your jaw, and who's ass do I need to kick?" He asked, feeling as though he was seeing his sister with a bruise... and this made him quite angry.
((sorry it took so long for me to post this))

London laughed when Lisette brought up the objexts they had stolen back from Filch. They had always planned midnight escapes, but of course they had to watch out for nights Sirius, Remus, James, and Peter would go to Filch's. So they had to plan to go at least two days before that. "You know, Liz. You're good at acting but when it comes to bodily fluids you suck!" She looked over at Matt and smiled her crooked smile.
As her friends gave the girls 'advice' and, after laughing for a moment, London just had to join in. "Yeah, and Filch just loves it when you play with Fanged Frisbees in the corridors." She looked at the girls, wondering if they had hit their heads or something. Matt was cute, she could admit that, but he wasn't exactly the most polite guy she had met. She knew him, and that he didn't mean it, of course. But he was always sarcastic to everyone, even teachers.
London glared at these girls. Ok, she could take these annoying fourth year girls for a few moments but this was just ridiculous. She listened as Matt made his little speech and smiled. "Aww, Matty!" she kissed his cheek annoyingly "You're soooo macho!" She hugged him tighter, now deciding to give him a hard time. "You-ou owe us! You-ou owe us" she chanted in an agitating sing-song voice. "Lisette? What should we do to Matthew?" She knew that he hated it when she called him that name. Most people wouldn't get how that would be insulting to Matt. It was basically calling him polite, which Matt was a bit of a rebel in that subject.
London frowned when Matt asked qabout her bruise. She knew he was going to see it sooner or later, but she thought it would take a little longer. "Well..." she trailed off "The truth?" She looked down. Of course he wanted the truth, what kind of question was that? "I got in a fight with my father. He wanted me to be a Death Eater and I refused. So..he punched me. Heh, I didn't have a chance to get him back. But I can tell you who's ass you can kick. Anthony Dolohov. He kissed me and I bit him, so he crucio-ed me." London knew Matt would be super pissed and she was glad she had people who cared about her that much. Matt and Lisette were her true friends.

[[It's not gonna be long, but here ya go.]]
Lisette glanced over at London and stuck out her tongue at the Gryffindor in a very immature fashion, but she didn't care. She noticed Matt's grin and smirked. Of course Matt couldn't forget those items. She raised her chin a bit, and straightened her shoulders. "Hmm. Well you mind your manners around me and we'll hit the mother-load this year." She smirked, and they wouldn't get caught. ;]
Lisette tried to stifle her laughter at the 'advice' they were giving the Fourth Years. At Matt's words she couldn't help but let out a soft 'Aww Matty!'. She felt pleased enough to hug him, but now was not the time. Or so she thought. At that moment London took over and kissed him, as well as hugged him. Lisette gave London a confused look. She knew Matt wouldn't take to well to that. Plus she had called him Matthew; he hated that. She sighed though, after all, London was waiting for a response. "I say we just jinx these girls as a favor to him." She said a bit arrogant-like.
She saw Matt's eyes widen when she mentioned threats. She wouldn't really jinx them...Would she? She paused for a moment. Maybe..
When the girls mumbled apologies and left, Lisette couldn't stop a grin from spreading across her features. Ahh victory. "It's ok," She began as soon Matt began apologizing. But stopped when he did and turned to look at him. He was looking at London with a dangerous look. She sighed, so he had noticed. Then again - who wouldn't? If she used the ointment, however, it would fade away.
She smiled at Matt's words and felt like giving him another hug. He was so sweet. She turned her attention to London and when the girl questioned if Matt wanted the truth, Lisette told her "London...truth," almost menacingly. At the information of Dolohov though, she snapped. Her arms (which had been crossed over her chest) locked out of it's former position and turned into fists. She grabbed London by the shoulder and turned the Gryffindor to face her. "What?!" She questioned angrily. "You didn't tell me this!"

Matt was extremely surprised when London kissed him on the cheek and he gave the Gryffindor a incredulous glance. "You feeling okay there, Lon?" He questioned, but then grinned when she told him he was so macho. "My life long dream." He joked. However, when she called him Matthew, the boy blanched and looked over at Lisette. "Please tell me she didn't just call me Matthew." He said before grabbing London around the waist and tickling her. "Because I'd be upset if she had!" He teased, continuing to tickle his friend.
Whirling around at Lisette's suggestion of jinxing, Matt shook his head. "Nah. I think they're scared enough without us jinxing them. And I doubt being expelled from Hogwarts would be worth the small amount of satisfaction we get." He stated reasonably. "Whoa. Since when have I been the reasonable one in this trio?" He suddenly asked, realizing how level-headed he was being. Usually, being reasonable was Lisette's job.
As London asked him if he wanted the truth, Matt nodded and glanced over at Lisette. Obviously this was something serious. He crossed his arms and braced himself for what London had to say. However, what came out of the girl's mouth was not exactly what the Ravenclaw had been expecting. His mouth dropped open and he stuttered a few words before closing his mouth and regaining his composure. London's father was a Death-Eater!?
"He hit you? Did you call child abuse, because that totally counts. Merlin, I'll break his nose. Do your brothers know? He didn't force you into being a Death-Eater, did he?" Matt's words spilled out of his mouth and his eyes glinted dangerously. There was nothing that he hated more in this world than Death-Eaters and Voldemort. Part of this hatred came from him being a muggle-born, and therefore a natural target for the group of purist. When he heard about Dolohov, his eyes widened and he slammed his fist into his hand. He barely heard Lisette's freak out, since he himself was boiling over with anger.
How dare someone kiss his best friend and then crucio them! It was not something he would tolerate. "First of all... are you alright? Second of all... where is Dolohov, because I need to kick his ass." The dark-haired boy's face was a mixture of worry, menace, and sheer confusion. Where did he stand with London now? Had she given into her father? It was too much for a sixteen year old.

((not very long but...))
London laughed at Matt. “I’m feeling fine Mattykins!” So she wasn’t feeling to good. Her left arm hurt and she had no way of telling them what she was. London kept the smiling up though, for them. She was about to comment but burst into laughter. Matt was tickling her. She hated being tickled by anyone. “M-Matt!” she yelled out in fits of laughter “Stop!” She tried to get away but couldn’t. “I…Hate..You.” she aid in between laughs.
London frowned. Why did he have to go ruin the fun? He did bring up a valid point though. Hogwarts was London’s life and she couldn’t live without it. London laughed. She guessed Matt did grow up a little this summer, just enough to know some of the limits he refused to acknowledge before then.
London watched in silence as Matt’s mouth dropped. When he started babbling she tried to talk. “Matt…” but she couldn’t get a word in until he asked her if he forced her to be a Death Eater. Her insides scrunched up as she thought of an answer. She took a breath “No……He didn’t force me to be a Death Eater.” Actually, Voldemort had done that by making her believe Lisette was in trouble…so she was telling somewhat of the horrible truth.
London smiled at Matt’s concern. She loved him like a brother and he felt like the sixth one in her family. “I’m fine Matt.” As for Dolohov. She didn’t know where he was. And she didn’t really care. He would get what he deserved. “I don’t know where he is… London felt Lisette grab her by the shoulder. It pained her that she was already hurting her friends a little. “And Lisette, I was going to tell you but then we saw Matt so I couldn’t…”

Lisette laughed at her friends' behavior. It really was great to have reunited again after a long month. She nodded at his question and answered "'Fraid so, Matty." She shook her head in London's direction, muttering "Shame, shame." Before smiling wryly. She laughed when he started tickling her, just overall amused with her surroundings.
When she heard him speaking rationally though, she frowned. When did he become so? I mean, he was a Ravenclaw, yes, but that was usually Lisette's job. "I have no idea." She answered when he questioned exactly what she had been thinking. "Who are you and what have you done with Matt?" She questioned jokingly. "Better yet, why are you taking my job?"
Lisette cringed at Matt's reaction. Of course he'd take it worse than she had. She felt selfish and guilty. How could she have forgotten Matt was Muggle-born? Of course he was afraid of You-Know-Who. She was too. After all, she was half-blood.
"So you just forgot?!" Lisette questioned, feeling somewhat hurt, but overall angry. Not just that London had missed out this very important detail, but the fact that someone had the nerve to hurt because she didn't want to kiss back. No one should be forced to do anything they didn't want.
"Augh!" She felt so angry. Lisette hardly ever felt this angry. Like Matt, she wanted to go find Dolohov and rip him to shreds. She wanted to use an Unforgivable on him! "Dammit!" She cried out, and kicked at book that had dropped from a shelf, or by someone. It flew across the hall, but Lisette didn't feel any sense of relief.

Matt let go of London and smirked at Lisette. Then when Lisette acted upset at him taking her job, he just shrugged innocently. "Maybe if you were doing your job I wouldn't have to pick up the slack." He joked, giving Lisette a cheeky grin. He knew that might have been pushing it, but what fun was life if you didn't live on the edge? "And as far as where Matt is, he's somewhere you'll never find him. I put a lot of food in there, so he may not come out for awhile." Matt was secure enough in himself to make fun of himself, besides, it gave London and Lisette a nice break.
At London's words, Matt didn't feel very reassured. She seemed like she was hiding something. "Your father didn't force you? But he's still a Death-Eater, Merlin! He could be following you right now!" Matt whirled around and glanced nervously around him. He was paranoid about Death-Eaters as it was without having one of his best friends' father be one. "Did anyone else try to force you?" He suddenly asked, wondering how London could have gotten out of the situation unscathed. If a Death-Eater wanted you as one of them, it was hardly likely that you could get away.
When Lisette kicked the book, Matt jumped a bit and caught the shop keeper's eye. "Sorry about that." He said, picking up the book under the shop keeper's withering glare. He turned back around to face London and frowned. "Next time I see the asshole I'm knocking him into the middle of next week, and then kicking his sorry ass on Thursday." The tall Ravenclaw muttered, furious at the Slytherin.

London opened her mouth to talk several times but had to laugh when Matt insulted Lisette. It was all play and London knew that. Everyone asked her how she could put up with Matt, but she was confused by that question. She didn’t ‘put up with Matt’ it was more like ‘how did Matt put up with her?’. London looked helpless “Since when does Matt not have a lot of food?” She smiled slyly. Pushing boundaries didn’t really bother her.
“No, I-“ she cut off, looking guilty. “Liz, I was going to tell you. I was right on the verge of it. It was just with Matt-“ she gave up and looked down. She had been forced to be a Death Eater. She deserved this. She deserved this for everything she would have to lie about this coming year. The people she would have to actually talk to and make up reasons why she would even acknowledge them. She bit her lip. How would she explain absences? How would she cover for when some one pressed the dark mark? How could she cover any of this up?
“No, My father didn’t successfully force me to do anything,” When he started to look around London grabbed him. “Matt,” she said in a sharp whisper “I know he’s watching, there’s nothing he can do.” She paused, looking outside. Her father was out there and she knew it. “Yeah, others tried to force me, but they failed.”
To say the least, London was touched. They cared about her so much. Most of her summer was filled with torture and it seemed like a miracle to get thrown back into a world where people actually cared about how she was doing and if she was happy. It seemed like Christmas and she loved it. Before she would have never noticed how golden this was, but now she was thankful for it. “Thanks Matt. And you too, Liz. I love you guys,” she smiled softly “But kicking Dolohov’s ass is my job. Don’t worry about him. He’s nothing…”

Lisette let out a shocked gasp. "Pick up the slack?" She questioned, not believing her own ears. "Matthew Brookes you'll pay for that! There's no slack to pick up!" She pursed her lips and thought about what jinx would embarrass him the most, but at the same time do little harm. She laughed softly at where he joked about he was. She heard London's comment and nodded. "My thoughts exactly," Lisette muttered.
Lisette's eyes widened, now actually a bit fearful. She knew she didn't have to fear London, but her father just scared Lisette, plain and simple. She knew how strict he could be. Her eyebrows shot up at the mention that he was watching. Shit shit shit! She mentally cursed. She wasn't mad at London, but she was angry at all the horrible crap that came her way. "Dammit London!" She cried out, not caring to apologize to the shop keeper. "Why does all this crap have to happen to you? For the love of Merlin? Why can't you just have a normal life?" She sighed and turned away, feeling angry tears welling up behind her eyes.
She heard Matt's angry comment about Dolohov, and shook her head bitterly when London said it'd be her job. No it wouldn't. He'd get his due. She'd find someone to do so for her if she couldn't. He wouldn't be able to walk, talk or eat when she was through with him.
