London ran down the streets of Diagon Alley. "Lisette! LISETTE!" She yelled as she slowed down. Not seeing her in any of the other shops she decided to check in the Leaky Cauldron. As she entered the pub she looked around seeing a few people she knew, a witch with about fifty warts on her face, and a guy with webbed hands. Unusually enough this wasn't weird to her.
The reason she had to talk to Lisette is that not five minutes earlier she had snogged Mac McCullum. It was amazing but she was sure that Lisette wouldn't like the fact that they had snogged the first time they had met this year. They didn't even go on a date. The earliest one that was scheduled was the first Hogsmeade trip. Or September first, if that even counted. He was just giving her her new bat. Was he also giving her the 'I love Mac' necklace?
Snapping out of thought she spotted Lisette. A smile crossed her face as she thought of how the Ravenclaw would act. She headed over to where she was sitting. "Hey Liz!" she sat down at the table. Acting like she had the latest gossip she gasped "Did you hear who made out with Mac McCullum? Like five minutes ago?"

After coming out of Flourish and Blotts, Matt, London and Lisette had gone they're separate ways for a while. They had planned to meet at Florean's, but Lisette was thirsty and wanted to check if her parents had come back yet for her or not. The answer was a no, but that didn't bother her at all. She ordered a soft drink and took a seat, ready to enjoy it, as well as the quiet.
It was short-lived. Not a full three minutes after she had sat herself down did she get company. She turned to her dark-haired friend and gave her a wry smile. Since was London up for gossip? She shrugged it off though and thought back to the girls who would have loved to have had a snog with Mac McCullum.
She knew the boy well, having befriended him two years before after a Quidditch match. He was a good sport about the loss, and had quickly become a good friend. He was handsome indeed, but Lisette only saw him as a friend. She couldn't consider him a boyfriend.
"Some blond bimbo?" She questioned, it's not like she really cared who Mac snogged. She frowned, but why would London care? If London had come to find her, that meant she was interested in the guy. Or the gossip (ie: the girl Mac had snogged) wasn't someone you would expect Mac to snog. "A Slytherin?" She questioned, now feeling intrigued.
She thought back to the girls Mac would go out with. He dated mainly in his year. He was now eighteen, after all. They were mainly blond, except for the very few brunettes. He'd never had a serious relationship, if she recalled correctly. He dated girls with substance, but had been known to snog a few airheads. She couldn't think of anyone by name, though he could think of a few girls by their 'clique'. She sighed, "I dunno. Who?"

London laughed at Lisette’s first guess. “No. She’s not blonde.” A smile remained on her face after her laughing ceased. Lisette probably wouldn’t ever guess that it was her. She was usually too virtuous and had to go on several dates before even giving a guy a peck. “And she’s not a Slytherin.”
“Well...I guess I can give you some hints. She’s in our year, not Slytherin, not blonde, and not a fan girl. She’s usually very protective of herself when it comes to guys…” London tried not to laugh and barely succeeded in doing so. London didn’t know how long it would take for Lisette to get angry. So, she ordered a Butterbeer before actually telling her who it was.
London smiled crookedly and bent over the table. She wanted to make this as dramatic as possible. “The girl who snogged Mac is…” she stopped because someone came up and gave her the Butterbeer she ordered. She took a nice long drink before finally setting it down...knowing that Lisette would probably be anxious. London wiped her mouth on her sleeve and bent in again. “I can’t believe you called me a blonde bimbo…” she laughed.

Lisette sipped on the pink straw in her cherry soft drink and just looked at London, trying to figure her friend out. Since when was London so into this news? It wasn't her. Usually it was Lisette filling London in. She was shocked when London told her it wasn't a Slytherin, a blond or a fangirl.
"Ok, what kind of bull is that?" Lisette asked, almost chocking on her drink. "Not a fan girl?" She frowned in response. "Not a fan girl," she repeated. "London. How can that possibly be? She has to be a fan girl. If not open about it, at least secretly."
She stopped, as something occurred to her. "Wait, was he a male?" She gasped at soon as the words came out of her mind. She began muttering, thinking to herself and temporarily forgetting that London was sitting across from her. "Mac? Could he be-? But, no! Unless, that could explain why he's never had a serious relationship. Hmm, out-of-the-closet?"
She snapped out of her thoughts, and looked up at London when she finally decided to tell her who it was. She gasped and unknowingly, kicked under the table hitting something, but she wasn't sure if it was London's leg or the table leg. "You WHAT?!"
Had she just heard correctly? London Kale just snogged Mac McCullum? No way. No way in hell. "Are you joking?" She questioned. "Is this some joke you're playing on me?" No. No no no no. London didn't go around snogging random guys. London was careful when it came to dating. London wasn't spontaneous that way. She was careful. She looked after herself. NO!

London almost laughed “Nope…She hates fan girls, like me…and she wants to kill them all, like me. Dude, she’s just awesome!” London knew she was being a little egotistical but she just freaking snogged Mac, so she thought it was ok. Even though it probably wasn’t good to be as egotistical as Black.
London couldn’t help but burst out laughing. Tears started coming out of her eyes she was laughing so hard. “No,” she laughed “Mac is not gay, it was a girl. Oh gosh, Liz. You crack me up!”
“Oh shit, Liz. Do you have to kick so hard?” she called out while she rubbed her leg, not caring if people were staring at them. London winced as Lisette started questioning her. “No, I’m not joking. And if it makes any difference…it took a long time for it to happen.” London paused and bit her lip. “Ok, so it took about eight minutes, but…” she couldn’t think of anything else to say to Lisette. If she had to give anymore away Lisette might kick her again. So, it was best to wait until she said something else before blurting anything out.

The look on Lisette's face became more and more quizzical as London informed her of a few traits the girl possessed. Awesome? Well, it all made sense when London informed her of the big news. Of course. Lisette sighed and rolled her eyes as she realized how it almost sounded conceited of London. Lisette would never tell her that of course.
She chuckled, realizing that it was pretty foolish of her to think Mac was gay. The guy was straight. Still, she couldn't believe it. London SNOGGED MAC? No. Way. She gasped, when she realized she had kicked London, but didn't apologize right away. She was still in shock. "Sorry," She muttered.
"Eight minutes?" The Spaniard questioned, "Eight minutes?! LONDON THIS IS SO UNLIKE YOU!" She sighed and pushed her drink away. She couldn't drink. She couldn't eat. What on earth was going on? "Who are you and what have you done with my friend?" She questioned.

London barely hear Lisette apology before she blew up on her. “Ok. I can explain. It was the longest eight minutes of my life. I went into to get some gloves and order a new bat, right? And I saw Mac. I kind of went into a daze and ran into a shelf with cleaning supplies on it. He was over and helped me pick up and then I came out with this stupid line. OH, what was it? Oh yeah ‘I saw this shelf and thought I needed to be clean’.” She stopped to take a deep breath.
London then continued. “So I asked him how much it would be for a new bat and he said he wasn’t going to let me have any old bat. He took me to the back and showed me this awesome model. It was red and black and it was perfect! He said he would engrave it for me free of charge…” she paused, wondering in how much detail she should go. “Then I said thank you and before I knew it we were snogging.” London winced. Lisette probably wouldn’t take this well.
“Then the boss came in a broke us apart and said that he should just pay for my things and get out. I shoved him away and told him that we probably shouldn’t be together and he said no so I just gave in and snogged him again. Well..then I had to go, and I wanted to tell you first.” London looked down. This was totally unlike her. How could she have moved sop fast.
“But let me say this. When I see him my heart starts pounding and I blush. Liz, I never blush! You know how big this is for me?” London thought she sounded lame herself, but didn’t care. It was how she felt.

Throughout London's explanation there was so much Lisette just wanted to yell out. Personally, she thought it was all way too fast, and just out-of-character for London. She was shocked at her friend's behavior. Eight minutes? And throwing out lines? It wasn't London! It was....absurd! Many times Lisette opened her mouth and shut it back, all the while wearing a horrified look on her face.
Still, she couldn't help but notice the fact that Mac had shown her a specific type of bat and he had said engrave for free? The engravement on her broom had been costly, she recalled. Plus he had told her no on the 'let's-not-do-this speech'? This was most definitely good news.
She heard the last bit of what London said and arched a brow. "Done yet?" She questioned sarcastically. The Spaniard sighed, slightly ashamed with herself and shook her head before speaking plainly. "Look Lon, I don't agree with this." She held up a hand to stop London from whatever she might say. "Wait. Listen to what I have to say in full. I don't agree. It's going way too fast, but-" She sighed again, however, a smile tugged at the corners of her lips. "But, oh London! I've never seen you like this. You do really seem to like him."
She grinned. Well...If London was happy, then so was she. Sure, she throughly disapproved of their actions, but no one asked permission to fall in love. She knew Mac was a good guy. She trusted him, but if her hurt her - ever - he'd pay. "Plus," She added with a sly smile, "It seems like he's really into you too."

London bit her lip as Lisette questioned if she was finished. She nodded slowly. She didn’t like the look on Lisette’s face, something wasn’t right. London opened her mouth to talk but was instantly silenced by Lisette. She looked a little hopeful when she heard the word but. “But…” she pushed on before Lisette smiled. London smiled too. “I do.”
London laughed happily. “I think snogging is a note of him maybe liking me.” She laughed again. She knew Lisette would grow to like this after they dated for a while. With this London had to ponder something. “Liz?” she whispered “Have you ever known someone without really knowing them…and then you start to wonder how you could have missed them after all that time? I know it seems,” she searched for a word “Ridiculous, but I’m starting to wonder why I didn’t start liking Mac before…”

Lisette laughed at London's sarcasm and nodded. "Yeah, guess so." She laughed again, this time at herself. Of course. "But still-!" She said in her own defense, "Just because a guy likes you, doesn't mean he'll snog you." She stopped, realized how she messed up the words and laughed again. "I mean snog you! Just because he'll snog you, doesn't mean he likes you."
She continued giggling at her mistake, but stopped when London spoke up again, this time on a serious note. She thought for a moment and then sighed. Truth was, she'd never felt that way. All the guys she had dated, they were more like flings. She liked them, they liked her. But it only lasted for so long. She could never even get herself to say those three little words.
"No," She replied, furrowing her brows. To be honest, she was slightly jealous of her friend. Had she found her match? "Well...to be honest, I can't explain it. But I mean, I'm sure he's changed in a few month's time. You have. Maybe it's just that. There was never any physical attraction until now." She shrugged. How knew, really? The heart was a mystery.

London looked at Lisette confused. “What? Lisette, miss Ravenclaw, that makes no sense!” She laughed as Lisette fixed herself. “Well, it doesn’t mean he thinks I’m repulsive either. In fact..”She bit her lip “I believe he used the word irresistible.” She smiled slyly.
London frowned as Lisette said no. She would have thought she could have helped her out. She was great at giving advice, but if she didn’t know much about it how much advice could she give? “Yeah, I guess. But I always knew he was handsome. I guess I just never…realized it..I don’t know how to explain this.”
“The best way I can think of to explain this would be a puzzle. Some have all their pieces, some have lost some pieces. I guess Mac was just a piece of the puzzle or something. It felt like it fit…”

Lisette laughed, not entirely over her slip-up. Her mouth dropped open at the tidbit London let loose and squealed. "No, way." She said, making the two words sound like four syllables instead of the two it was.
"Ah! London, you lucky-! You freaking lucky-! Ah!" She couldn't help the grin on her face. Despite the fact that twinge of jealousy was still there, she felt overall happy for London. She deserved a guy like Mac. She deserved some good in her life.
"You finally saw the light!" Lisette told her with a giggle. She paused, wondering why she was so giggly. "You know, I think the bartender slipped something in here." She told her friend, pushing the glass over to her friend. "Try it. What do you think?"

London laughed again. Of course she was bragging a wit, but she knew Lisette would understand. She was, after all, London’s best friend. As she elongated her words London smiled “Wayyy.” She said jokingly.
London looked down as Lisette tried several times to finish a sentence. “Liz!” She laughed uncontrollably. “Breathe, Liz, breathe!” She laughed. This was putting her in an even better mood than she had come in with.
London smiled again “Yeah,” she said, taking a drink “I guess I did…” She looked at Lisette weirdly and took the drink. She chugged it down “Yeah, someone definitely slipped something in there. We should order another just to see.” She laughed, knowing Lisette would probably be a little annoyed she drank the rest of it.

Lisette made a face at London and stuck out her tongue at the girl - however immature it made her seem. She didn't need any teasing from London. Besides, she was only human. No one was perfect, and she sure as heck wasn't.
She continued laughing when London kept advising her to breath. Finally ending off in a "Haha, funny."
The Spaniard gasped when she saw London finish her drink. She gave her a playful shove and tried to force her off her chair. "You owe me a drink!" She told her, trying to hide the grin she was wearing. "Order two rounds London, cuz you owe me."

London’s mouth dropped open as Lisette stuck out her tongue. “Well,” she said, fake mad “Fine Liz! See if I ever try to tell you about guys again!” She laughed, unable to control it. It was particularly funny, but she just loved being with some one who was like her sister.
“I thought it was..” London smirked, basking in her win. She laughed again. Diagon Alley was a wonderful place. She would be even happier when she got to Hogwarts again. A sigh escaped. Almost everything was as it should have been.
London laughed as Lisette shoved her but screamed when she tried to shove her out of her chair. It almost succeeded. Her chair had tipped back, too far away from the table and falling. Almost to the floor, London reached and somehow found the table in her hand. She looked confused but smiled. “Fine,” She raised the empty drink “Two More! You happy, Liz?”
