The hot summer temperature outside wasn't doing much for Andrew's concentration as he walked around Diagon Alley for the fourth time this week. There used to be a mission for his presence - new robes, different books for himself and for his mother's interest in magic, and anything else school-related - but being the way he was, he got all his errands accomplished during the first trip on the first day. Now, it was just the fact that he was killing time and searching for something to do with himself as he waited for the summer to come to a close and to begin his final year at Hogwarts.
As he walked down the main street, he adjusted one of the other buttons of his collar, unbuttoning it to let the breeze get to his neck. Yep, it was a bad idea to wear jeans today; it was a bad idea to be out here for today. Sighing, he placed his hands into his pockets and continued walking down the cobbled streets. It was pretty hard to believe that he had come so far since the first year where he found out that he was even a wizard and had magical ability. And yet, he took it all with pride, and a smile to boot.
Glancing at the familiar windows of the stores that lined the block, Drew had basically memorized the window displays at each of them, being that he had basically wasted a lot of time slowly browsing around each store. He then spotted a place that he hadn't been in this week - Florean Fortescue's - and a light bulb went off in his head. Of course! It was the perfect day to have ice cream, and it would cool him down considerably. Walking into the ice cream parlor, it reminded him of the Muggle one that was two blocks away from his home. That was the good thing about being a half-blood; you knew things from both worlds.
At the counter, he gave a sigh of relief when he saw that most of the flavors were the same, though obviously Florean Fortescue had provided many more flavors that he would have never dreamed of. Choosing to go the safe route, he ordered a vanilla ice cream sundae, then sitting at a vacant table near the window after he paid. The wizarding coins felt so weird, since it had been a few months since he had the need to use them. Delighting in the creamy cold goodness of the sundae, Andrew mentally patted himself on the back for this good decision as he fleetingly glanced out the window to see if anyone he knew from school would pass by and see him.

Remus never really liked summers. For one reason, they were too hot. Heat was never any good. Being a werewolf, it meant his own body temperature was heightened, and thus he and summer weather were mortal enemies. Another reason was the fact that the hot weather forced Remus into clothing out of his comfort zone. Like shorts.
He didn't like them. Honestly, he'd have to show his legs. All hairy and whatnot. Remus already had scars along his face and arms, he really didn't want to show them. So today, Remus walked along the cobbled streets of Diagon Alley in jeans and long, thin shirt.
He tried staying in as many cooled stores as he could, but after noticing that the boy wasn't buying anything, many owners promptly kicked him out. After being kicked out of Madam Malkin's he stuffed his hands in his pockets and made his way along the street to the coolest area he could think of: Florean Fortescue's.
He smiled as he walked up to the counter and ordered a Droobles's Peppermint cone. He loved Droobles and when it was mixed with peppermint, it was heavenly. He payed for it and was about to make his way over to the back when he spotted a familiar face.
Andrew Ashford was in his year and in his House. He grinned and walked up to him. "Hey Drew," He greeted with a nod. "What's new?"

Kadey's feelings about the summer time always seemed to change; depending on the weather and how she felt about it. There were times when she loved the sun and couldn't get enough of it, and there were times [if it got too hot], that she hated it. She didn't exactly like the whole idea of being too hot and sweaty. And it was never nice to bump into someone when you had hugh wet patches under your arms and sweat running down your forehead.
Thankfully though, this was one of her years which she had enjoyed it, yes it had been warm but Kadey hadn't been that sweaty girl she sometimes was. And she was glad, this was going to be her final year at Hogwarts, and she didn't want people to remember her for something bad. She wanted to be remembered for the upbeat beautiful girl that she was. It wwould only embarrass her if she got called 'Sweaty Sewell' for the rest of the year.
Walking down the streets of Diagon Alley, Kadey was in a very summery outfit. She had a white top that was almost dress like, some nice light blue shorts thatyou could just about see under the top. And a nice cool pair of sunglasses that protected her eyes from the suns glare. Kadey could have been mistaken for being somewhat lost and on her way to the beach. But she didn't care all too much about how she looked. As long as she felt cool it was okay.
Glancing at the shops around her, Kadey soon found herself feeling quite hungry. Especially with people eating around her. Opening her handbag she looked in it to see if she had anything to eat. Sadly she didn't, but she did have money. Looking up she spotted Florean Fortescue's and she laughed. Oh how stupid of her, why should she waste time eating something that had probably lost its taste because of the sun's rays when she could have a nice cool ice cream?
Entering the shop, she immediatly felt a cool blast of air. Feeling like there was no need to wear her sunglasses indoors, she pushed them upwards so that they rested comfortably on her head. Walking over to the counter she looked at the selection and decided to go for chocolate fudge brownie sundaee. Not one of her favourites, but it would do. After all, she wasn't fussy and she just needed something to fill up her stomach.
Spotting two people from her house and year she smiled and walked over slowly, she didn't want to intrude but most seats were taken. And she thought it would be fun to catch up on what they'de been up to. She hadn't seen them since the start of the holidays and she was interessted to find out what they'd been doing. "Heya guys" Kadey said with a smile on her face. "Mind if I join you?"
